Simisola Dapson —The Bride Who Chose Gold

Volume II · Brides of the Brand

Simisola's Introduction Look

Not every bride arrives knowing exactly what she wants. But Simisola Dapson did. She walked into Glitz Allure with the clarity of a woman who had spent years imagining this moment — and the confidence of someone who knew, without question, that it would be gold.

Not champagne. Not nude. Not bronze. Gold. Deep, warm, unapologetic, dynastic gold. The kind that doesn't ask for attention — it simply commands it. And the moment she said it, Wuraola and the Glitz Allure team knew exactly the story they were going to build.

What followed was not simply the making of a fabric. It was the construction of an heirloom. A piece so intricate, so deeply intentional, that it will be spoken about long after the wedding day has passed.

The Making

The Daisy That Took Days to Build

Each daisy appliqué you see scattered across Simisola's sleeves and bodice was hand-built from scratch. Open-loop petals were individually formed from cord, then each loop hand-set with micro gold and bronze crystals, one bead at a time, until the petals held the dense shimmer you see in the final garment. At the centre of each flower, deeper amber and cognac crystals were clustered to create a focal warmth — a heart of fire within each bloom.

The base of the overlay was a warm nude-to-bronze tulle — chosen specifically because it would disappear against the skin, allowing the daisy appliqués to appear as though they were floating on the body rather than attached to a garment. It is the kind of invisible precision that only reveals itself when you look closely — and then you cannot stop looking.

But the daisy overlay is only half the story. The skirt panel is where Glitz Allure made its most daring decision — and its most brilliant one.

Horizontal bands of gold mirror baguette sequins, stacked in sweeping diagonal waves across the entire skirt panel. Not a detail. Not an accent. A statement so bold it redefines what fabric can be.

The skirt of Simisola's gown is what stops people mid-sentence. Row upon row of flat mirror baguette sequins, arranged in sweeping horizontal bands that catch light from every angle simultaneously. Not scattered. Not random. Precisely stacked in diagonal waves that travel the full length of the skirt, creating a visual rhythm that moves even when she is standing still.

Under flash photography, the skirt becomes a constellation of gold light. Under chandelier lighting, it behaves like liquid metal — each band catching a slightly different angle, creating depth and dimension that no photograph fully communicates. You have to stand in front of it. You have to watch it move.

The full garment — from daisy beadwork to mirror skirt — was constructed entirely by hand. No shortcuts. No machine embellishment. Every crystal placed, every loop formed, every sequin set, by the skilled hands that Glitz Allure has spent years building and trusting.

"Gold is the easiest colour to get wrong. When it is done right — when the weight is correct, when the light behaves correctly — there is nothing more powerful on a woman."

— Wuraola, CEO · Glitz Allure

She Walked In, The Room Stood Still.

The bronze and gold striped gele — wrapped with architectural precision — was not an afterthought. It was selected to mirror the diagonal rhythm of the mirror skirt, creating a visual continuity from head to hem that gave the entire look the coherence of a single, composed vision.

The pearl and crystal choker necklace was chosen to honour the lightness of the daisy motif — delicate against the boldness of the fabric, providing balance without competition.

Simisola didn't just wear the fabric. She completed it. And the smile in every photograph tells you exactly how it felt to be inside something made entirely for you.

Three Things That Made Simisola's Look Unrepeatable!

01

The Motif Was Built, Not Bought

The daisy appliqués were not sourced from a trim supplier. They were constructed by Glitz Allure's artisans from raw cord, wire, and crystals — built to the exact petal width, loop tension, and crystal density that the design required. This is the difference between decoration and craft.

02

The Contrast Was Calculated

The delicacy of the floating daisy bodice against the architectural boldness of the mirror skirt was not accidental. It was a deliberate tension — softness on top, drama below — that created visual interest across the entire silhouette and gave the gown a narrative arc from neckline to hem.

03

The Whole Look Was Orchestrated as One

At Glitz Allure, we do not deliver fabric and leave the rest to chance. The gele, the jewellery direction, the shoe colour — all of it was considered as part of the visual composition. Simisola walked into her wedding day as a unified, curated vision. Not an outfit. A moment.

Simisola Dapson is our second Bride of the Brand. And like Wendy before her, she raised the standard of what it means to be dressed by Glitz Allure. Two brides. Two completely different visions. Two fabrics built from scratch, with complete devotion, for one specific woman and one specific day.

That is not a service. That is a practice. And we will keep building until every bride who trusts us understands what it means to be truly, completely, unforgettably dressed.
